Caprese: a fresh recipe with tomato, mozzarella and basil

The Caprese is one of the most famous and easy Italian specilty: to have it done you need only to get very good and fresh products and follow some simple tips. No cooking, only fresh taste of Italy.

Here all you need:

2 or 3 fresh tomatoes, 1 mozzarella, or the equivalent – here you may see there are few little mozzarellas – possibly bufala mozzarella – the good quality of the products is really very important! To these two basic products, you will need to add some fresh basil, a little salt, 3 or 4 tablespoon of EVO oil (Extra Virgin Olive oil) a pinch of oregano.

First of all, slice the tomato and the mozzarella – then put the tomato slices on a dish, salt it, and add the oregano and the hand-cut basil (if you use a knife you will lose its wonderful perfume) – Now the tip is to let it repose for a while: 30 minutes will be enough to let the tomato absorde the salt and the basil and oregano taste.

After 30(or more…) minutes, distribute the mozzarella slices on the tomato, add the oil….now all is done, reay to enjoy it!
