Potatoes in white wine and rosemary

This symple and super tasty way of cooking the potatoes will transform your normal potato dish into something special .

Here’s what you need:


1 kg potatoes , plenty of fresh rosemary , fresh sage, fresh thyme, a clove of garlic, 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil , 1 large glass dry white wine, salt , water.First of all, wash and peel the potatoes . If they are organic potatoes , do not throw the skins : you can add them to a good vegetable stock or make chips with a little ‘ extra virgin olive oil boiling . Will still be delicious and rich in vitamins.


Then cut the potatoes into pieces that should be enough to ensure a uniform homogeneous cottotura .Now, peel and cut into 3 or 4 pieces the garlic clove . chop rosemary , sage and thyme.


At this point , away from heat , place in a deep pan with oil, salt , chopped herbs, and garlic , and stir until the oil is evenly distributed .


Nowput the pot on the stove and add a generous glass of water and a generous glass of white wine. Stir a little.


Cover and simmer slowly over low heat , stirring occasionally.


When the liquid is almost completely evaporated , after about 30 minutes, remove the lid and finish cooking over high heat , stirring gently . serve hot as a side dish for meats , cheeses, and even baked fish. Enjoy it!
