Swiss chard with Tomato Souce & Smoked Cheese

This is a fantastic and tasty way to cook the Swiss chard.

And you will love it in any season!

Here’s what you need: 300 grams of swiss chard , 1 clove of garlic, salt to taste , 3 table spoons extra virgin olive oil, 100/200 grams of passata (tomato souce) possibly hand made (here you will see the one I do, you may find the recipe in my blog!), 40 gram of grated smoked cheese scamorza like

First of all, well wash the swiss chard, then separate the green part from the white one :  you need only the green part

Finely chop the garlic clove, peeled .

Put the swiss chard and the garlic in a pot with a little water , about up to 3 /4 of the vegetables, add the garlic, salt and oil.

Put on the stove and bring to a light boil, and cook for about 30 minutes.

In the mean time put a  little extra virgin oil in a pan, and add the passata.

Once the swiss chard is cooked, drain it well and add it to the passata.

Cook for very few minutes it keeping  the fire low, and mixing it.

Then put the swiss chard & passata on a dish, and add the grted smoked chees while is still very warm.

Put a lid on the plate and let it till the cheese starts to melt.

Now is ready: you just have to taste it warm and fragrant. Enjoy it!
