Scented Chicken with Bacon and Juniper
This dish is really really easy , very tasty and not expensive. The special taste of Juniper will make this dish truly special.
This can accompany with potatoes or polenta , and in the end you will have a delicious sauce with which you can dress the pasta or rice .
here’s what you need
6 chicken thighs, 3 tablespoons of bacon diced , 2 or 3 juniper berries, garlic , 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil 12 sage leaves, 1 cup dry white wine 4 tbsp black olives without stone. No salt , just bacon !
First of all, dice the bacon and crush juniper berries and a clove of garlic, peeled.
In a nonstick pan put 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil 2 chicken and whole sage leaves.
Stir a couple of times and add the bacon . Stir again and when the bacon will be toasted add the dry white wine, a little at a time.
Now just put the lid and cook the chicken on slow heat for 20 to 30 minutes, until the sauce has reduced and the chicken will become soft.
